All works carved in white Carrara marble combining text from passages of the Old Testament, American Foundational documents, militia manifestos and popular culture, synchronized but out of context, uniting phrases and words together in ways that are familiar yet conspicuous. Each fragment simulates the broken friezes of Western antiquity, alluding to the possibility of an empire in its potential decline even as it continues to boast its exceptionalism. 2016-2018.
