Darryl Lauster is an Intermedia artist, writer and an Associate Professor of Sculpture at the University of Texas at Arlington.  His work is based in the research of American history and mythology, and utilizes digital media, printmaking, sculpture and installation. 

He has exhibited nationally at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the National Metal Museum, the Louise Wells Cameron Museum of Art, The Urban Center for Contemporary Art, Appalachian State University, Millennium Plaza Park, the Nicolaysen Art Museum, the John Michael Kohler Foundation and the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston.  His work can also be found in the permanent collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The University of Texas at Arlington, McNeese State University and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. 

He is a 2010 recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant for Painters and Sculptors and has also received grants from the Peter Reed Foundation, the Netherland-America Foundation and the Houston Arts Alliance.
